Just a little stressed out
Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 5:40PM We're dog-sitting for a cute basset hound named Daphne. Are there any not-cute basset hounds? I don't think so. But anyway, she's about eight and really loves treats and sniffing. Sniff, sniff, sniff, SNIFF, sniff, sniff, sniff. I've never seen so much sniffing. I think she's sniffed every inch of the living room three times and she loves to sniff the other dogs from tip to tail. Especially their eyeballs and ears. Daphne also enjoys lounging on the bed and napping. She's very personable and loves to cuddle and get a good scratch. She watched the front door for a little while last night hoping maybe her daddy would come back for her but then she got caught up with Henry and Lola and everyone settled down for the night.
Lola on the other hand isn't sold on the idea of a new member in her pack. She has Henry and probably Thomas and me right where she wants us most days and I think the responsibility of herding a fourth pack member is stressing her out because today I caught her like this:
Mystery solved
Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 10:02AM I woke up this morning wishing I could have a giant chocolate chip cookie with my cup of tea. There were no cookies of any kind, lemon, sugar or chocolate, none. So I decided I'd make waffles for breakfast this fine Tuesday morning. But waffles for me aren't a box of Eggos quickly grabbed from the freezer. Waffles are flour, butter, baking soda, eggs and more. While I'm up to my eyeballs in mixing bowls and milk, I call my sister for a quick chat. I recount my morning to which she just replies, "No wonder your kitchen is always a mess!"

Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 10:38AM I think sleeping, dreaming dogs are the most adorable thing. I could watch them and giggle all day, but if I owned this dog I would never leave the house. I think this is the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
Thanks Dooce.
Knitters Unite!
Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 10:53AM We hit the Winter TNNA show in San Diego this weekend. The National NeedleArts Association hosts its annual trade show in sunny San Diego giving all the frozen knitters a weekend of respite.
My sister, Nancy Queen has a yarn empire consisting of two retail websites, nobleknits.com and designeryarnsale.com, and three published books (The Chicks with Sticks Guide to Knitting,The Chicks with Sticks Guide to Crochet
and Crochet for Tots
).
We went to do some wholesale shopping and Nancy had a book signing!
We also met the gang from ravelry.com, an awesome online community for knitters and crocheters.
