Henry & Lola: The Painting

I decide to get a piece of commissioned artwork, and what do I choose as my subject? Of course, the cutest doggie duo in the world. Susie Ghahremani launched a fun program called DRAWsome where you can order a custom illustration and it comes right to your home and you can love it forever. This is Susie's interpretation of Henry and Lola waiting for me to finish working so we can go outside and play. I love it because she got it just right, they are always watching me like this. I matted it and framed it this afternoon and hung it up already!

Never in a million years did I think that a 50¢ toy from IKEA could outlast any dog toy on earth. We buy these little stuffed animals for Lola every time we cruise through that crazy Swedish madhouse. They don't have a squeaker or any rope or "tuff" rubber. They're just little bite-sized creatures, and Lola loves to carry them around with her. She licks them, and nudges them and sniffs them, they are her babies. Well, that is until about 10 at night when she decides to shove it in Henry's face and they wrestle over it for the next hour. Call this the calm before the storm:

Should I or shouldn't I?

During her regularly scheduled bird and bug watching session, Lola took a quick break to evaluate if I was being interesting enough to bother getting up and following me. But she noticed I wasn't holding a side of prime rib.

How to fold a large tarp

First step: stand on the tarp.

Second step: wrestle for a while.

Third step: allow one fold then play tug-o-war.

Fourth step: lay down for a round of tug-o-war.

Fifth step: relax from all the strenuous activity.
